Lashes, Car Talks & Dinner At The Country Club

A couple Thursday’s ago (after getting my Covid vaccine) I drove to my hometown to get my lashes done by one of my best friends, Kelsey. We try to meet up at least once a month with our other childhood best friend Ashley, and since I was going to be there for my lashes anyway, we decided to go to the Covered Bridge Golf & Country Club for dinner.

We decided to all go in the same vehicle to maximize our time together, so I picked Kelsey up in Woodstock, and we drove to Hartland to get Ashley. I feel so fortunate to be able to live close enough to my hometown to still see my friends on a regular basis. There’s something about driving around with your best friends listening to music that takes you right back to your high school days, ya know?

In typical us fashion, we got lost on the way there due to talking and not paying attention to our maps app. I let Kelsey drive my truck, and we eventually found our way there.

The restaurant had both indoor and patio seating options overlooking the golf course. We chose to eat inside because it was a bit windy that day, but I definitely plan on going back to dine on the patio sometime.

Kelsey and I ordered Pina Coladas (Ashley is 6 months pregnant so she did not), and they were amazing! Then we got some bruschetta to share, which was also SO good.

Ashley and I both ordered the chicken pesto panini, and Kelsey got a wrap. The panini was amazing. I can’t believe I’ve never eaten here before- the food was so beautifully presented and delicious, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing.

After dinner, we tried to get a good selfie and ended up with this series of laughing photos that perfectly describes how we are when we’re together.

Like I mentioned above, before dinner, Kelsey did my lashes and also tried a new brow lamination technique on me. I love how everything turned out! Check out my original review of lash extensions HERE.

This was right after getting them done, before dinner:

If you guys want a full post on the brow lamination process, let me know! I would also love some recommendations for new restaurants to try in the Woodstock-Fredericton area!
